This refurbishment, as with many Victorian properties, begun with resolving an ongoing problem with rising damp. A poorly installed solid concrete floor was removed from the basement and new suspended floor reinstated along with tanked walls to create two bright and airy guest bedrooms and bathroom in what was an undesirable area of the home. A comprehensive renovation of the entire house followed with replacement kitchen, bathrooms and flooring along with new joinery, giving a calm and tranquil feel to this elegant property.
